West Tec Reveal 2009 Line-up


Team West-Tec are delighted to reveal thefirst driver who will join the recently-announced Callum Macleod in West-Tec's 2009 European F3 Open line-up.

Norwegian Thor-Christian Ebbesvik returns for a third year in Formula 3 and will be one of the hot favourites for the title, being the 2007 Copa de Espana Champion and winning twice overall in 2008.

British fans will also get the chance to see more of the action in 2009. As well as the race weekend in Donington in early July, the whole championship will now be screened across Europe, including full coverage in the UK for the first time on Motors TV.

Thor-Christian Ebbesvik: Initially I wanted to move up to GP2 for this year but we didn't feel the deals were right. I am really pleased to be back in F3 this year and am looking forward to add to the wins I scored last year. The Championship is the goal!

Gavin Wills, Co-Team Principal: Christian needs no introduction. He suffered some bad luck in 2008 but still took two great wins, including dominating the F1 support race around the streets of Valencia. He has been very fast in testing so far this year, and we are starting to see the fruits of our intensive chassis development programme.

We have also recently agreed new or renewed partnerships with VALVOLINE, P&O FERRIES, Booking.com, GALUPPO, TESA TAPE, SUREPARTS and SUNWISE SUNGLASSES which should also make 2009 a lot of fun. The new TV deal is also very exciting for us.
