Callum Macleod has been invited by Renaultsport to join the Formula Renault 3.5 test at Alcaniz on 20th October, alongside the rest of the cream of the 2010 Formula 3 crop from across Europe.

With the top two drivers in the European F3 Open series being rewarded, this should be a good opportunity for Callum to sample a more powerful car as he considers his options for next year.

This year Callum has driven for Motul Team West-Tec and he has been locked in a desperate battle for the title with the vastly experienced Marco Barba since the start of the season, both being generally clear of the rest of the field.

In 2009, Callum won the Copa Class in the European Open again with Team West-Tec and was nominated as a finalist for the prestigious BRDC McLaren Autosport Award as a result.
