Career Aim                             ‘To compete at the highest level and become Formula One World Champion’

Callum Started karting at the age of 8 following a trip to the 1995 British Grand Prix where he decided he wanted to become a racing driver.

Callum competed at the highest levels of karting between 1996 and 2003 winning numerous titles including the Jnr Rotax british super 1 championship in 2003 and the British Jnr Rotax GP championship at Kartmasters.

As a results of winning the British kart championship Callum was invited to the Williams F1 conference centre for the launch of formula BMW; it was here that he met SpeedSport Promotions Ltd boss Mike O’Brien. After completing a Formula Ford test Mike O’Brien saw enough potential in Callum to reach the top level of motorsport and signed him to his management company.

In 2004 Callum made a promising single-seater debut in the Walter Hayes Trophy meeting at Silverstone. Callum Finished 6th in his heat placing him 13th on the grid for his semi-final where he drove through the field to finish 7th.
As well as making his single-seater debut, 2004 also saw Callum complete a testing programme with SpeedSport Promotions.

In 2005 Callum competed in a number of Formula BMW rounds with newcomers Filsell Motorsport.

In 2006 Callum entered the final three rounds (six races) of the National Zetec Formula Ford Championship with Don Hardman’s Marque Racing Cars, and scored a fantastic 6 poles, 4 wins and 1 second position.

2006 also saw Callum return to the prestigious end of year ff1600 Walter Hayes Trophy in a SpeedSport Promotions Ltd Van Diemen RF02. Callum Qualified on pole. A 2nd place finish in his heat gave him 5th on the grid for the semi final where he came through to finish 3rd. This landed Callum 6th place on the grid for the final, working his way to 3rd on the opening 2 laps, Callum’s race was ended prematurely on lap 4 with a collision at Becketts.

For 2007 Callum secured a drive with Jamun Racing in the British Formula Ford championship.

He went on to become the 2007 British Formula Ford Champion. From the 25 race championship he took 14 wins, 21 podiums, and 18 pole positions, 19 fastest laps and 6 lap records.

Callum’s performance during the season got him a place in the final of the 2007 Mclaren Autosport Award. On the 2 evaluation days Callum got to drive a Mercedes DTM car, a Porsche 997 Carrera Cup car and a Renault World Series 3.5 car.

During the off season 07/08 Callum tested various F3 cars.

For 2008 Callum did not have a full time drive. He did a one off Porsche carrera cup race finishing 5th.

Two historic Formula Ford Races at Silverstone and Brandshatch, claiming victory in both.

The last round of British formula 3 National Class for T-Sport, with a last minute deal being done the Friday before the race Callum had no testing and fastest lap in race 2 was the highlight of the meeting.

In 2009 Callum raced in the European F3 Open, driving a Speedsport prepared Dallara F306 in the Copa Cup class. Callum won the championship for the 2006 spec cars and was a regular top 6 finisher overall against the faster 2008 spec cars. He also took an overall podium at Spa.

As a result of his success in 2009, Callum has again been nominated for the BRDC Mclaren Autosport Award.
